This set of stamps reproduces details from ten illustrations by J.R.R. Tolkien:

1) Map for The Lord of the Rings
2) The Forest of Lothlórien in Spring
3) Dust-jacket design for The Fellowship of the Ring
4) Rivendell
5) The Hall at Bag-End
6) Orthanc
7) Doors of Durin
8) Barad-dûr
9) Minas Tirith
10) Fangorn Forest

The folding wallet accompanying the stamps includes Tolkien's illustrations of The Hill and Lothlórien, the edge of a manuscript page for LotR and part of a slip written by Tolkien during his time at the OED giving his definition for 'Walrus'.

In addition to this set, at least sixteen First Day Covers were issued using the stamps. A guide to these may appear in the Articles section at a later date.
