Notes
C.S. Lewis’s Ransom Stories and Their Eighteenth-Centiury Ancestry, a essay by Jared Lobdell, includes a quotation from a letter to Lobdell dated December 1963 discussing C.S. Lewis and his qualities as a reader. See pp.213-231, but especially p.230.

The letter is not included in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien (1981).
